In short

  • Tromsøbolig KF works to provide good housing for the people of Tromsø.

  • Tromsøbolig KF is a municipal enterprise wholly owned by Tromsø Municipality.

Since 1 January 2023 the enterprise has operated, managed and maintained the municipality’s housing. It is responsible for the planning, construction, management, operation and maintenance of the crisis centre, municipal welfare housing, housing for people with substance abuse and mental health problems, sheltered housing with and without staff base, and purpose-built buildings with sheltered housing.

The enterprise exists to carry out the municipality’s tasks by owning, managing, developing and building rental housing for the municipality, which may be let under the Social Services Act. It manages the real value of the properties through cost-effective maintenance, operation, management and development.

Through 100 percent ownership and control, Tromsø Municipality pursues its main goal of providing good housing for its residents.
